Who We Are
We are a Horde guild on the Drenden server. Our focus is a casual and fun gaming environment where we can explore, raid, do heroics and play with a group of like minded people. We have a good core of cohesive people that have been playing in various MMO's for 5+ years together. What that means to you is "don't bring drama". It doesn't matter if you are the best WoW player anyone has ever seen, if you can not cooperate with us, then you are no good to us. That doesn't mean brown nose us, it means be a team player.
While we do raid, sometimes frequently, we do not consider ourselves a hardcore raid guild. If you are expecting to do raiding every single night, this guild is likely not for you.Currently we have an guild environment with 30+ mature players with an average guild age of roughly 26 years old. You can expect to see criticism, joking, sexual humor as well as serious and non-serious discussions about which class is better. We are a mature guild, sorry no children allowed. We encourage that people watch their language however in Vent because sometimes children are listening but sometimes you can expect swearing. However for the most part we aren't really that serious unless we're in the middle of a heroic dungeon or raid.
We have a good number of level 80's geared with T7/T7.5 and/or badge loot equivalents. There are a couple two-boxers and multiple people have multiple level 80's that are equally geared. This lets them create groups and fill needed slots fairly easily and fast depending on what is needed, tank, healer or DPS..
Raid ProgressionCurrently we run WotLK instances (reg. and heroic), raid Naxx/OS/Vault. We have just begun Eye .
Raid ScheduleOur current raid schedule is pending, due to the increasing amount of lvl 80s, and the schedules/time zones of our active members. Previously, we've have at least 2 set raid days and times. The core group of people play Monday through Friday, around 3pm PST to 11pm PST, with a few people scattered around odd times and late nights depending on scheduling.
Loot Distribution1. Main (Main Spec)
2. Main (Main Spec) Repeat Looters, Alts (Main Spec)
3. Offsets
4. Rot/DE
First Loot Call:
Mains (Main Spec) – Loot will be called on a need basis for Mains, Main Spec rolls. These are established already in the beginning. Even though JoeBob who is Protection Paladin as a main but is speced as Holy Paladin to heal, he can choose to roll on Protection Paladin items. Mains get ONE item that they can prioritize a roll on, meaning once they “win” an item they are moved down to the next call for any other items.
Second Loot Call:
Alts (Main Spec) & Repeat Looters Mains (Main Spec) – Repeat Looter is someone who has already won an item in the First Loot Call category. This is to make it fairer so at least all mains in that class that are competing for that loot piece can win an upgrade.
Third Loot Call:
Offsets – If no one has rolled for any of the above two calls, then it will be open to Offsets Mains & Alts.
What is considered an Offset?
An offset is your secondary spec, not your primary spec. It is that simple.
Why do main offsets get lower priority than alt main specs?
There is a lot of reliance on certain main characters mainly because of their gear sets. If those mains aren't around often times a raid can't continue past challenging content. We have alts to fill those roles however if those alts are only partially geared then we still can't move forward as well. This is to help eliminate some of that chokehold and remove some reliance on other characters.
Why are alts rolling with mains?
Our primary goal is to help main characters in the guild, we do have a need to build a reserve of necessary classes so that we may continue raiding, and not need to completely call off all operations if a single healer / tank / hard hitting DPS'er doesn't show up.
Member Expectations- No drama. We really don't have any drama now, so if drama starts to happen then it is because you brought it. Our officers tend to be laid back but when it comes to drama we get serious fast. If you had a bad day, upset, then it is best that you log out and cool off. If you need someone to talk to then check with one of our officers and try to talk about it, maybe it is just a misunderstanding. Otherwise we play the game to have fun and relax, we don't have time to be your babysitter.
- We don't expect you to be the best of the best but we do expect people to learn from their mistakes and be able to handle suggestions and criticism. We are counting on you to do your job and maintain a can-do attitude.
- You must be responsible enough to STUDY encounters! With that said, come prepared for raids with whatever consumables and knowledge you'll need to enhance your performance. This means you have two options (and we highly suggest you use both):
1.) Use members in the guild itself to give you an understanding of what your class roles are in each encounter, and what is expected performance-wise out of you. Do NOT hesitate to ask questions! This shows you have a desire to improve your performance and also the ability to learn these encounters. Each member is here for you to utilize to help improve your performance as a recruit.
2.) Writeups of mobs and their abilities can be found in many places. Utilize them.
- Ultimately you'll need a conceptual understanding of monster and boss abilities, as opposed to memorization of dance steps from a video.
- You should be vocal! Don't hesitate to ask questions, and don't hesitate to give suggestions. Worst case scenario we burst out laughing on vent and call you a n00b. When and if you become a member we have a Strategy forum we expect feedback in. Sometimes it gets stale. We don't want that. We want active members who contribute to the community. You should never be afraid to tell us what's on your mind, or to share information you stumble upon.
- * Do NOT come to a raid PvP flagged. It is not hard to plan for this.
- You must be seeking a long-term home in which to invest your time and energy with like-minded individuals. Loot whores, drama magnets, guild hoppers, and retards with 'great expectations' of guarantees of any kind need not apply.
- In exchange for your soul and investiture of time, we offer a place to build long-term relationships with a competitive and professional TEAM. We've been on this server since day 1, and we don't plan on leaving anytime soon.
- Do not waste our time. If you bitch and moan when you don't get internet purplez, don't get played on a raid, and are notified when you demonstrate a lack of class knowledge and inability to do your job in a competitive raiding environment, do not apply.
NOTE: Recommendations are sponsorships. If you have them, great. They're only going to help you. I don't require them, obviously. If you're a server transfer I can't possibly expect you to know any of our members, in most cases.
At the end of your initiate phase (usually 2 weeks, extended if necessary) we will review your application and either reject you or promote you to member.
